Hi,
I've just finished the installation for Vista (32-bit). After I've sorted a couple of issues, I still can't figure this out. Vista can't recognize my DVD-burners because it can't find the correct drivers. I've tried to innstall Deamon so I could mount the Vista-image in hope for drivers there, but it seems Vista didn't like deamon Tools anymore.
I've contacted the producers of the burners, but they tell me to contact Microsoft.
Thanks in advance

What make and model DVD burner do you have? Virtually all ATAPI optical drives are supported natively by Vista. Your problem could be BIOS or hardware related, not Vista!

Rick,
Actually I think the problem must be Vista. If you read these threads I've counted over 11 brands of different DVD's that people have complained have the same problem that is, Vista can't find the driver.

I was having a similar problem...It turned out that Vista didn't like my NFORCE ATA drivers. If you've installed them try taking them out and see if the OS recognizes the device.

Well, not for me.
Vista sees SCSi drivers (DVD/CD), but says it needs to install drivers for them, and cant find any, either in the pc or the internet.
I supose this changes from machine to machine...
